Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. All meals are included in the package (for those who bought the package with the accommodation).
Breakfast will be served on the accommodation and lunch and dinner will be served at the Campus Restaurant, also known as “Bandejão Central” (A).
If you are not up to eat in the university restaurant every day, inside the main campus and even around it there are a lot of other options. Here we selected our favorites (not in order of preference):
A little expensive, but really good. The self-service buffet may be around R$33,00 per kilogram. Closed :(
Restaurant of the School of Education (C)Pleasant place (you can eat outside) and good price. The self-service buffet may be around R$25,00 per kilogram.
Restaurant of the Physics Institute (D)Besides the self-service buffet with barbecue (around R$30,00 per kilogram), you also can find sandwiches. Good choice.
The “Pasta Lady” in the Biomedical Science Institute (E)We are talking about a car that park in front of the institute (at noon) serving takeaway packed lunches, not only pasta related. Each lunch costs around R$7,00.
Sandwiches of the School of Communication and Arts (F)Various types of Sandwiches, and also pastel and tapioca that are really good! Almost a gastronomic reference in our University. It’s worth checking. The prices vary, but still very accessible.
USP Hot dog, the “Dogão” (G)Similar to the sandwiches of the school of communication and art, this one is a tradition. The complete hot dog (way more complete than others hot dogs around the world) and a drink should cost around R$10,00.
McDonald`s (H) Subway (I)Besides that, there are two options of cafeterias in the Chemistry Institute, perfect for a little snack. One is localized in the Building 19 (B19, J) and the other is localized in the Queijinho (the blue and round building in front of the 2nd entrance, K). Both serve good snack, but maybe interesting comparing prices.
