Com o trabalho "Intercalation of Phytochemical from Jaborandi into Synthetic Beidellite Clays" a doutoranda Vanessa Yumi Sakai recebeu o prêmio de segunda melhor apresentação de pôster do 51st Annual Meeting of The Clay Minerals Society.

Este é o resultado da colaboração com os grupos dos professores José Roberto Leite (UFPI), Helena Maria Petrilli (IF-USP) e Jocelyne Miehe-Brendlé (Université de Haute-Alsace).
